@ NIB : Regrettably, Madrid is not considered as being the best region of Spain from the point of view of the gastronomy. Many rather heavy and fat dishes, which can embarrass the visitor, as the very known "cocido". But you can survive with tapas and ham Serrano... You may also try the granizado de limón and, if you're very courageous, the "special" horchata de chufa... Have a nice stay

@damni: food is ok. I had some really good tapas but I was a bit disappointed by the ox tail stew, which is famous for this region. I am also worried already about BK. Hopefully its just his internet broken down.
